             You one day?

Now I don't want to get too serious
but indulge me for a minute...
Even though the action of lifting a weight up and down is very simple,
I think bodybuilding has a far deeper meaning than we tend to think about.

We all have different reasons for toiling away in the gym day in day out, but do you ever think about what they are?
I think I bodybuild to prove that I can master myself, to prove to myself that I can control my laziness and my urges to eat junk,
I bodybuild to escape any weaknesses I felt victim to as a child.
I bodybuild because I want to look like the action figures I grew up playing with.
I bodybuild because it is pure, the act itself is the reward and every time I'm in the gym I don't want to leave!
I bodybuild because it's in my blood. Sometimes I'm sure other interests will divert me, life will distract me,
responsibilities will keep me away from the gym...
But when it's time once again, then the weights will be there, waiting...

Why do you do bodybuilding? Email me, I'll put your thoughts on the website.
